Dev Ethical Sustainable Crafts and Textiles (DESCATUK) organized NNF Design Competition 2021, during the fashion revolution week 19th -25th April, 2021.
There were five participating categories- women’s, men’s, kid’s, home décor and lifestyle and Unisex wear & accessories category. Many participants were shortlisted for further stages of competition.
The competition had an overwhelming response from participants of different countries. Paricipants were highly creative in exploring various aspects of this category because of the wide scope of design possibilities in this newly emerging category.
Many participants explored various types of accessories including trendy products like laptop bags, hand bags and also unisex clothing.
The winner of this category was Jigisha Ashani from International School Of Design, Pune, who presented a very creative idea of reversible unisex jackets. Her aesthetic yet functional design implementations and her presentation skills won the hearts of her audience as well as judges.
The winner was awarded with an opportunity of internship and cash prize.
The competition gave a whole new outlook on working towards sustainability as well as various uses of NNF textiles!
